Sense of Wonder, “Maturity” and Transcendence

“A person’s maturity consists in having found again the seriousness one had as a child, at play”

Friedrich Nietzsche

This is excellent quote was related to me today in response to a comment I made on how society strips away a child’s sense of wonder and replaces it with “maturity.”

Never lose your sense of wonder. Search for transcendence and chase it the rest of your life. In those rare moments when you experience it, you are truly living as few ever live.
